With the financial support from MISEREOR, a German foundation, Stars and Rain launched the Heart Alliance Autism Network through a series of advocacy events in 2005. The network aims to raise the service quality for autistic people. Heart Alliance advocates for equal rights, mutual respect, care and concern and most importantly acceptance from the government and public for people with special needs, with the ultimate goal of creating a better living environment for this group of people. In addition, Heart Alliance is developing a platform for autism serving organizations to share experiences and resources.
The success of the Heart Alliance Autism Network is in part due to the unwavering support from the Beijing Stars and Rain Education Institute. At the 10th anniversary, Stars and Rain highlighted the milestones, shared the learning experiences and charted the direction for the next ten years. The Beijing Yifang Foundation is the sole sponsor of the Heart Alliance Autism Network.
